Whilst writing this morning I felt compelled to change lanes, even just for a moment:
This is a prayer for the brokenhearted, a message to those who woke up to an unnamed sadness that lingers
This is a prayer for those who mourn, longing for the embrace of the only person who could really make the pain go away
This is a prayer for those who do not feel beautiful, love-able or worthwhile
This is a prayer for those who are poor, recognising they have nothing
This is a prayer for those who are captives, believing they will never escape these chains
This is a prayer for those who are weighed down by heaviness and the cares of this world
This is a prayer for those who feel ashamed, dirty and worthless
This is a prayer for those who are alone
I do not know what you are feeling. But He does. Nobody knows why you are walking this road of pain and brokenness. But He does. He was despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief (Isaiah 53:3). Well meaning friends and I can throw “Bible verse handgrenades” your way, but today He wants to speak deep into your heart, quieting you with His love, not His principles.
As you read I pray for healing. As you lean into Him I pray for comfort against His chest. He will lead you, even carry you to the green pastures, lying you down beside the still waters.
It is an old song, but the heart of love does have reasons that reason cannot understand.
Through all the stuff today holds, rest in Him.
May it be so

Hi Werner
You know what hit me: "This is a prayer for those who are poor….." . Been reading the Beatitudes………
I was reading Matt 5:1 "God blesses(our well being) those who are poor(in spirit) and realise their need for him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs" – The poor can never pay the debt to Him(we hold nothing) – we need His sustaining GRACE- JESUS HIMSELF !
Love to all
Milli
P.S Craig I loved your "…….. because I am there comment"
Hi Milli! "We hold nothing", well, that's pretty much sums it up for me. All we have we've been given through Grace. Bless you guys, and great hearing from you
Thanks Werner
Life is full of "surprises", "curve balls" and sometimes even "rug pullers" that cause us to fear, doubt or even want to give up. If I claim to believe and trust in my Heavenly Dad, I must place my hope in the truth that I am, where I am, because I am there. The question then is this; what is it about Him that I do not yet know or understand that makes me not want to trust Him in this praticular space and time of my life?
If He is 100% trust worthy, it's my unbelief that holds me captive.
My circumstance may not be ideal, but if I believe that God is working for my good, I am where I need to be and will be fine.
Craig
Thanks Craig. Always good reading your comments. Really appreciated man, and hope to chat "in person" soon!
